I like free stuff and I bet you do, too! Especially when it’s artsy stuff and what other kind would we be giving away on Artsy Forager? This month’s Facebook Featured Artist, Geoff Mitchell, has recently published Moon Rabbits: Pictures and Tales a book project which pairs twenty of Mitchell’s works with short stories inspired by his imagery.

Geoff has been generous enough to offer Artsy Forager readers a chance to win a copy of Moon Rabbits! To enter, simply comment on this post with your favorite Geoff Mitchell work ( find more of his work on his website here ) and you can get an extra entry by writing your own narrative in your comment below about the story you see unfolding in Geoff’s work.
Good luck! The contest will end this Friday, June 15, 2012 at 5pm PST. A winner will be drawn at random and announced on Monday, June 18th!

Apple Bobbing is my favorite. I like the colors, the textures, the diamond panels….everything about it.
hey lesley,
i’m not sure the second link to his website is the right one…though there are some pretty cool linocuts by a highschooler! though frankly i prefer geoff’s work!
it’s a tough call for me because i’m really into various forms of collage and paintings with different layers but my favourite is roman candle. maybe it’s the theme of my blog and the fact that i’m preferential to hummingbirds but what i love about that image is how the bird seems so sweet and whimsical but the rest of the painting is rather ominous feeling.
Thanks, Kaitlyn, I’ll check that link– may just be a misspelling on my part. Roman Candle is really lovely– it has such a restless calm to it.
lesley, i love your blog!
my favorite is ‘trinket’.
Lincoln with at-ats
I enjoy your blog very much and have nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award : )
Thanks so much, Allison! 🙂
Cheers!
Lesley
No problem!
I really like mayfair. The people walking on the boardwalk at the bottom reminds me of San Fran, and also a little of the ocean walks in Victoria where I live, and the colours on the top remind me of a collared shirt and suit jacket. I get a feeling of formality, but in a really unstructured, informal medium. Love it!

im really attracted to Twitch, it’s very powerful creating a presence
the subtleness of the dress is simply complex, and the transition between the dress to the omnious woman creates a reminicent emotion falling back into a child moment
this kind of reminds me when i was a child and when i wxould see pictures of my aunts/cousins in the almost exact pose, or even head position.
also the hint of color used makes a great impression, not overpowering but contrasting well with the richness of black and white as well as the tone of the paper.
